“A good step forward” for Bautista during second day of testing at Sepang

The rain didn’t bother the riders during the second day of testing at Sepang and this allowed Alvaro Bautista and Bryan Staring to work intensively and successfully. A total of 58 laps and good laptime of 2.01’208 from Bautista already improved on his performance from the last test in Malaysia a few weeks ago.

He continued his setup work for the Showa suspension and the search for a better geometry of the frame.

Alvaro Bautista “I am happy to have made a good step forward. The improvements are noticable and now we have a strong base to complete the great work we’re doing during tomorrow’s session.

We find some good technical solutions and we have a good race pace and our laptime has improved significantly.”

Fausto Gresini “It’s been a good day. We made ​​significant technical progress with Alvaro and Bryan and we have everything clear for the final day to finish the job tomorrow. We have collected a lot of data and Showa is doing a great job. Overall, this second test at the moment is very positive and I am confident that we will make further progress.”
